Playoff Game Times
The Spartans will travel to Calhoun Friday to take on the Yellow Jackets in
the first round of the state playoffs. Friday will be a double header, with
the first game scheduled to start at 4:00 and game 2 to follow immediately
after. If necessary, game 3 will be played on Saturday @ 2:00.

Directions to Calhoun High School field:
Take I-285 West to I-75 North
Get off I-75 North at Exit 312 [GA Hwy 53] and turn left
Turn right on GA Hwy 136 Connector/S. River Street, and
go to field at 315 South River Street

SPARTAN BOYS ADVANCE TO STATE SEMIFINALS ON SATURDAY

Coach Dana Davis reports:
Our girls’ tennis team lost a hard fought match to Darlington on Monday
afternoon. Our girls had an incredible season, finishing as region champs
and an 18-5 record.

Our guys defeated Darlington on Monday by the score of 3-1. The guys now
advance
to the semi-finals at Stone Mountain on Saturday. Congratulations!

GAC boys 3, Darlington 2
NORCROSS — Greater Atlanta Christian advanced to the Class AA state
semifinals on Monday by defeating Darlington 3-2.

The Spartans (18-4) got wins from Chad Day at No. 3 singles and also got
victories from the No. 1 doubles team of Dillon Loyd and Jesse Kent and from
the No. 2 team of Michael Hutchinson and Kyle Walker.

The annual Red & White Spring Football Game will be played this Friday night
at 6:00 in the Spartan Stadium.  Please come out and enjoy the fun.  The

Congratulations to Jennifer Johnson for being selected as member of the
A-AAAA All-Star Soccer team by the Georgia Soccer Coach's Association.

Gwinnett Goal Club names All-County teams

The Gwinnett Goal Club has named its All-County teams and Scholar-Athletes
to be honored in a May 18 banquet at Norcross High School. The team is voted
on by the county’s soccer coaches.
The players of the year and coaches of the year aren’t released until the
club’s banquet.
The GAC girl and boy players honored by the club are listed below:

Class AA/A Girls All-County
• GAC: Jennifer Johnson, Kristen Crute

Class AA/A Boys All-County
• GAC: Sam Arthur, Michael Deming, Matt Frederickson, Danny Irizarry

For those interested in playing lacrosse for the next school year, there is
a meeting in G104 at 11:30 on Monday, May 16. You must be a rising 8th
grader to a rising 10th grader to attend the meeting.

Coach Judy Tenney reports:
All 6-11 grade who want to try out for the 2005 softball season must sign
the list on Coach Tenney's door in the Bible Building.  Try-outs will be
held May 25-26.  Check the softball calendar on the web site for specific
times.

>>SHAKESPEARE AT FINE ARTS CENTER: TONIGHT & TOMORROW

The Kings’ Gate Theatre season ends this tonight and Friday with the
Dramatic Arts students' production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”  The play
begins at 7:30, and tickets are $5.00 each.  Come and finish the year with a
fantasy and a little romantic comedy.
