You may have heard news about a very serious auto accident yesterday afternoon,Wednesday, May 5, involving GACS alumnus Sara Robb (class of '02).
According to all the info I could gather yesterday afternoon and this morning, Sara was traveling home from Lipscomb when she lost control of her car on I-24 near Manchester, TN. She hit the median, the car rolled several times, and she was ejected from the car. NOTE -- word has it that she had her seatbelt ON, and it is unclear whether she was ejected before the car rolled or at some point while that was going on. In any event, after she was ejected, she slid on her back on the pavement for about 30 feet. She was then life-flighted to Vanderbilt Hospital.
As of late Wednesday, Sara was reported as being conscious and being able to wiggle her toes. As of about 8:45 a.m. today (Thursday), she is on her way home to Atlanta with her parents!! After all she went through, she has one broken rib, a slight concussion, and her back obviously will need to heal from scrapes, cuts and bruises.
Praise the Lord for this incredible report! I was expecting to hear the worst this morning, and I'm thrilled and full of praise for what I'm hearing instead. Let's pray for a full recovery for Sara.
yours,
matt.
