State Swim meet

The 1A – 4A State Swim Meet is this weekend at Westminster. Emma Eisler, Jessica Pate, Annalise Peters, and Ali Slack will be competing in individual events for the girls; while Michael Hughes and John Toll will compete in the individual boys’ events.  We are qualified in all three relays for both boys’ and girls’ events, but the final decision on who will be swimming what relay is still in the air. We have a great State Team still training, ready to give it all. Allie Gasway, Sarah Kraus, Jennifer McCarter, Caroline Still, Katie Witwer, Keith Ciccotello, Bill Cooper, Ross Freeman, Sean Frendt, and Tom McArthur will round out the group headed to the Home of the Cats to defend mighty Sparta.  Our warm-ups begin on Friday at noon, with the prelims actually starting at 5:00 P.M. Finals are on Saturday and only the top 16 in the State for all 4 classifications make it to the finals. The gun starts the first race on Saturday night at 6:00. It is GHSA pricing, but there is a deal for both days. We have set our goals high, and our swimmers are seeded well. We are ready; no regrets this time!
