GAC girls basketball

The Lady Spartan basketball team had an exciting weekend of basketball in the region 8AA tournament.  Friday night the girls came back from a 9 point half-time deficit to defeat Buford for the 3^rd time this year.  It was a great effort by everyone.  Saturday night in the region finals the Lady Spartans came from behind to take a one point lead late in the game against Wesleyan but could not hold on.  As region runner-up we will host Oglethorpe County Saturday night at 7:00 in the Bradford gym.  This is the first round of state playoffs and we need everyone who is in town to come and support the Lady Spartans in their quest for a state championship.  Congratulate these girls on a great effort this weekend and throughout the season.
