SOCCER AREA 8-AA/A PLAYOFFS START TODAY AT HOME!
The campus will be hopping this afternoon and tomorrow with home games:
soccer, baseball, and track & field. Check the schedule above, and don't
forget: tomorrow is a school holiday!
The varsity girls and boys soccer teams host Union County today in the first
round of the Area 8-AA/A playoffs. The first two games of the Area playoffs
are must-win games in order to advance to the Area semi-finals and be
guaranteed a berth in the State Tournament. These are post-season matches
and admission will be charged: adults - $5; students - $3. Your Spartan
Athletic Pass is not valid for post-season play. The varsity girls game
starts at 5pm; and the boys, 7pm.
Coach Cliff Shelton's varsity baseball team is in the heart of its region
schedule with 10 games remaining in the regular season. The Spartans (10-6)
play East Hall at home today at 5:30pm. The varsity boys are in a dog fight
with Buford, Wesleyan, Providence Christian, and Dawson County for one of
the four region seeds in the State AA Tournament.
The Hank Prickett Track at Spartan Stadium will be busy today with a Junior
High track & field meet with Decatur. Tomorrow Coach Brad Kinser's varsity
boys and girls squads will host teams at the Spartan Classic at 4:00pm.
